Q. Do you photograph only high school seniors?

A. I specialize in high school seniors, women, and brides.  I’m all about helping girls and women feel beautiful and feel confident.  Occasionally I will be involved with special projects which I might share on the blog. I am more than happy to recommend photographers in Stuart and Jupiter if you are interested in sessions for families, newborns, pets, etc.

Q. Does your session fee always include make-up and hair styling?

A. Professional airbrushed make-up and hair styling are important elements of the overall experience of having your portraits taken.  My make-up and hair stylists are professionals at creating your photo ready finish.  So, yes, both are included in sessions.

Q. Does your session fee include digitals?

A. The session fee includes time with photographer the date of the photo session and editing of images. Products are purchased in a separate collection or a la carte at your Premier Ordering Consultation.

Q. What is the Premier Ordering Consultation?

A. The Premier Ordering Consultation usually takes place 2-3 weeks after your photo session.  This is an in-person ordering session where you will view a specially crafted slideshow presentation of your fully retouched images, make your selections for prints and products, and place your order.  During this time I will guide you through all of the boutique product lines I offer and design your products right there with you present.

Q.  When can I expect to get my products and prints?

A.  Prints and products usually take 2-3 weeks to arrive from the printing lab.  However, some specialty items may take 6-8 weeks.

Q. Do you just sell digitals?

A. Amy Tara Photography is a full service photography boutique.  Digital options are included in our top two collections.

Q. Will you guide me in what to wear?

A. As soon as you book your session I send you a digital Welcome Packet with information about your session including a “What to Wear” guide. In addition, you can always email or text me pictures of outfits and accessories you are considering.

Q. Do you have studio? Do we shoot indoors?

A. Most sessions take place on-location in natural light. Studio sessions are available for specialty looks, modern beauty, and bridal portraits.  Most sessions take place in Martin County, Florida.

Q. What days do you shoot your sessions?

A. Most locations are public places and get a lot of foot traffic making it difficult to shoot during the weekend. My portrait sessions take place Monday – Friday with some Saturday’s by request and avaibility.  Weddings usually occur on weekends.

Q. How long does a session take?

A. Your professional make-up and hair styling will take approximately 2 hours at the salon.  Once that is complete we will shoot for approximately 2-3 hours.  You will want EAT before your session and drink plenty of water.  Also, plan to order take-out that night… you will thank me:)

Q. How many outfits can I bring to my session?

A. Bring as many outfits as you would like.  The more outfits the less pictures in each outfit. Four to five outfits that vary in style and color is always the best bet and will give you a variety of looks in your final images.

Q. Are yearbook ads included?

A. Custom designed yearbook ads are quite popular. If you are interested in using your session pictures for the yearbook your session must take place well before your school’s yearbook deadline.  I offer a custom designed yearbook ad as one of the options available to you at your Premier Ordering Session.
